Allt Ruadh is a luxury, two bedroom self catering cottage situated in the crofting township of Smirisary, 1.5 miles from the small community of Glenuig in Moidart.

Allt Ruadh, formerly the family croft house, has been completely renovated and is now furnished to a very high standard, with all modern facilities creating a relaxing environment for your holiday.

Positioned on Scotland’s dramatic west coast, Allt Ruadh is ideally located for walking, bird watching, kayaking and fishing, or just peaceful walks along unspoilt beaches.

photo The accommodation comprises:
  • Sitting room with multi-fuel stove, solid wood flooring, satellite television, DVD, satellite FiFi broadband, ample supply of games/books etc.
  • Sun room featureing panoramic views towards Cruach na Bairness
  • 1 bedroom with king size bed and storage
  • 1 bedroom with twin beds and storage
  • Bathroom with bath, WC, washbasin, heated towel rail, separate shower cubicle and under floor heating.
  • Kitchen with fridge freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, single oven, ceramic hob with extractor fan, table & 4 chairs. High chair available.

Allt Ruadh is not suitable for those with limited mobility.

No smoking. No pets.

Outside store for bicycles / drying room for outdoor gear. Large garden with some mature trees and shrubs. Comfortable outdoor seating area with BBQ.

Heating in the cottage is electric with panel heaters in the bedrooms and sitting room and under floor heating in the kitchen, sun room and bathroom.

Rental prices range from £500 - £650 per week
(prices on application for Christmas and New Year).

Prices include a welcome pack, complimentary toiletries, all bed linen, kitchen towels, towels and electricity. An ample supply of fuel is provided for the multi-fuel stove.
Allt Ruadh is available from Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is 4 pm on the day of arrival and check out time is 10 am on the day of departure.

Directions
Heading west from Fort William to Mallaig, take the A830 for approximately 26 miles, turn left at Lochailort sign posted Strontian. After approximately 8 miles at Glenuig take the right hand turn and follow the road for approximately 1.5 miles where you arrive at Smirisary.
